While you can book direct, a travel agent provides value you can’t get from a website. We act as your advocate. If something goes wrong, we wait on hold, not you. We often have access to group rates or special perks (like onboard credit or free gratuities) that aren’t available to the public. We save you time, stress, and often money.

This is a common myth. In most cases, it is not more expensive. Our commissions are paid by the cruise lines, not by you. Because of our industry connections, we often have access to blocked-out-group-space or special promotions that make your final price less than what you’d find online. A good agent will, at minimum, match the price you find online while providing all the personalized services you desire.

This isn’t a cruise rule, but a TSA rule for your carry-on bag, and it’s critical! It means you can carry on liquids, aerosols, and gels in containers of 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less, all of which must fit into 1 single, clear, quart-sized bag. Don’t risk having your expensive sunscreen or toiletries confiscated before you even get on the ship!

River Cruises (like Tauck) use small, intimate ships (often 100-200 guests) to sail on inland waterways (like the Danube in Europe). They dock right in the heart of cities, are culturally immersive, and are almost always all-inclusive.
Ocean Cruises (like NCL or Virgin) use larger ships (2,000-6,000+ guests) to sail on the open sea. They are floating resorts, packed with entertainment and dining options, and they visit coastal ports.
